City Hall gives KL house owners six months to submit renovation plans – Nation

KUALA LUMPUR: City Hall (DBKL) will give house owners who’ve carried out renovation and extension works six months to submit constructing plans for the aim of coordination and approval beneath the brand new tips.

DBKL Corporate Planning Department director Khalid Zakaria stated the ‘amnesty’ programme for unlawful development can be opened from Jan 1 to June 30, 2017.

“During the period, house owners who submit building renovation or extension plans for work that has been completed or ongoing will not be fined for having carried out renovation without authorisation or approval,” he stated in a press release right here Thursday.

He stated beginning Jan 1, DBKL would implement new tips for renovation works of the usual measurement of single-storey, double-storey and three-storey terrace homes in Kuala Lumpur.

It is to substitute the renovation tips for single-storey and double-storey terrace homes which has been used since May 15, 2013, he stated.

Khalid stated the brand new tips didn’t apply for city house, clustered, indifferent, bungalows and homes beneath the strata possession.

He stated the usual lot terrace homes referred to homes constructed on a plot of land with a width of no more than 18 ft (5,490mm).

Khalid stated DBKL would implement the rules on using reflectors and security glass on buildings in Kuala Lumpur efficient Jan 1.
