KUALA LUMPUR: City Hall (DBKL) will give house owners who’ve carried out renovation and extension works six months to submit constructing plans for the aim of coordination and approval beneath the brand new tips.
DBKL Corporate Planning Department director Khalid Zakaria stated the ‘amnesty’ programme for unlawful development can be opened from Jan 1 to June 30, 2017.
“During the period, house owners who submit building renovation or extension plans for work that has been completed or ongoing will not be fined for having carried out renovation without authorisation or approval,” he stated in a press release right here Thursday.
He stated beginning Jan 1, DBKL would implement new tips for renovation works of the usual measurement of single-storey, double-storey and three-storey terrace homes in Kuala Lumpur.
It is to substitute the renovation tips for single-storey and double-storey terrace homes which has been used since May 15, 2013, he stated.
